Privacy Policy
As a network based organization, GRI regularly needs to collect personal information from stakeholders through this website and through email communications. The respect of your privacy is essential to building a trust between GRI and its stakeholders. The following is GRI’s policy relating to the protection of your personal data.
Information collection
This GRI Conference website has two areas in which you are prompted to provide your data:
Conference and RCA updates - Subscribe
If you wish to subscribe to GRI’s contact list to receive ad hoc update emails, you requested to provide your email address, and then you can choose to provide additional details such as your full name, your company and your country. This form links back to GRI’s 3rd party e-marketing provider dotMailer who has very strict rules surrounding privacy. Once you are signed up and you start receiving email updates, you can always opt-out of these communications by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link provided on the email.
Please see dotMailer’s privacy policy here.
Conference registration
All links to the conference registration page take you to a third party online registration platform – Eventure – which is managed by GRI’s professional conference organizer, Eurocongress. The information provided by you in the online registration form is therefore managed by Eurocongress, but GRI conference staff also has access to this data. Both parties will ensure the strictest privacy procedures are in place when transferring the data from one party to another.
You can find the link to the Eurocongress/Eventure privacy policy at the bottom of the registration website, which will also provide details on how all payment transactions are handled.
Cookies, Log files and Links
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer tied to information about you. There are two sorts of cookies: a session ID cookie is temporary and terminates once you close your browser. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on your hard drive for an extended period of time. It can be removed by following the Internet browser help file directions.
This website uses session ID cookies and a persistent cookie. Session ID cookies are used in registration forms, quizzes and surveys and to access password protected areas such as the forum or the OS pages. The persistent cookie is used to identify your preference for text or graphic view of our website.
Log Files
Like most standard website servers, this one uses log files. These files contain information such as internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks. This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information. It is used to produce statistical reports to monitor the website and analyse trends.
Links
This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that GRI is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites – other than those that have been entrusted with your personal data for the purposes of conference email updates and conference registration. You are encouraged to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of websites that collect personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the Global Reporting Initiative.
